Charlize Theron is no longer a blonde. In fact, she's now defying all such classifications because she's rocking a shaved head, having gotten the short cut the other day.

Just days after a string of promotional appearances for “Prometheus,” the actress has been spotted out and about without her trademark blonde locks, which were replaced by a hat.

Underneath it, Charlize tried to hide a drastic new haircut, as the Daily Mail also points out. It also has the first photos of the actress with the new 'do.

Now that she's done shooting and promoting “Snow White and the Huntsman” and “Prometheus,” the Oscar-winning actress is getting ready to start work on yet another highly-anticipated film, “Mad Max.”

Details on her role are very scarce, but we do know that she will star opposite Tom Hardy of “Inception” and “The Dark Knight Rises” and, as of late, that she will be rocking an almost clean shaved head.

Even so, one can't deny that she rocks the look like no one else – after all, they don't say she's one of the most beautiful women in the world for nothing.

In “Mad Max: Fury Road,” Charlize will be playing Furiosa so, by that name alone, one can assume that the part will be physically demanding and very tough.

Speaking about the film in an older interview, Charlize gushed about looking forward to shoot it, since director George Miller had created a character that she found completely irresistible.

“I feel like the original 'Mad Max' created such a vivid world, that to go back and re-imagine it and kind of replay in that sandbox sounds like fun to me,” she said, as cited by the same publication.

“George really created a female character that I've never read anything like this. I mean, I'm scared [expletive]! I'm very excited about it; I'm [expletive] dying! It's been three years; it's time to skin this cat already!” she added.

She was referring to the 3 years she spent out of the spotlight, putting affairs in her personal life in order.

“Mad Max: Fury Road” is now in pre-production and doesn't have a release yet. Further details on it are likely to emerge once Tom Hardy wraps up the promo tour for “The Dark Knight Rises,” meaning, later this summer.
