Charlize Theron, as talented and beautiful as she might be, has quite a reputation of being a nasty woman in real life, a genuine Queen of Mean. This was confirmed last month, when former ‘90s TV star Tia Mowry went to the tabloids to dish the details on a chance encounter she had with Charlize at a SoulCycle gym.

Apparently, Tia saw Charlize at the gym, and because she had always admired her from afar, thought the timing would be perfect to make her acquaintance and maybe shake her hand. So she went over to the Oscar-winning actress and said “Hi.”

In response, Charlize rolled her eyes and simply turned to walk away while lamenting “Oh my God!,” as if she couldn’t believe she was being bothered this way. Oh snap! Tia was so upset about the whole thing that she didn’t think twice when one glossy asked her to recall her most awkward celebrity encounter, and publicly shamed Theron.

It looks like Tia should brace herself for more of the same because Charlize really is the Queen of Mean, she doesn’t just act like one. Right now, Dish Nation reports, she’s trying to get Tia banned from the gym, merely out of spite because she went to the tabloids with her story.

“Charlize came in so [upset] after Tia went to the tabloids about her, and she demanded we bar Tia from ever coming back. When the manager refused Charlize just got angrier and said she’d go to the top to make it happen,” an insider at the gym reveals.

As Charlize sees it, Tia should be banned because she failed to respect some unwritten privacy rule that should be enforced by the gym. The problem is that she’s the only one who seems to think this way, because no one in the gym’s management is willing to do as she bids them to.

“This nobody who was famous for a minute 20 years ago can complain to the tabloids about me but I can’t expect you to protect me from hangers on in your studio?” Theron reportedly ranted to them. That part about Tia being a nobody who was “famous for a minute 20 years ago,” if she really said it, is a particularly nasty blow.

The insider claims that Charlize wasn’t always this mean, vindictive, and entitled because, when she first started coming to this gym, she was “kind of quiet and chill.” However, she’s been throwing more tantrums in recent months, which makes the same spy conclude that “being with Sean Penn isn’t doing her any favors.”

The two started dating at the beginning of the year, and if we’re to believe rumors, might already be engaged and making wedding plans. Penn has a real temper issue, to the point where he repeatedly fought with paparazzi in the streets, attacking them to take their cameras, and this way, preventing them from taking his photo.

Before that, he reportedly beat up ex-wife Madonna with a baseball bat and punched an extra on a movie set.
