Charlize Theron Feels the Boobs and Takes Home the Pot

Charlize Theron is one of my favorite actresses out there, and I've been wondering lately why is it that I like her so much - the answer I gave myself was that I probably look up to her for the same reason I like Scarlett Johansson - she's not hitting the party scene every weekend, she seems modest and focused on her work. And she has a bit of a sense of humor. That's why I was shocked to see a photo of Charlize with her hands full on the breasts of what looks like a male-to-female tranny and thought Charlize had tried a bit of pot just for fun and ended up going on a drug-fueled rampage in Harvard. The words "Golden Pot" didn't help my first impression, either until I realized that it wasn't actually real pot, but rather a trophy handed to Charlize by Hasty Pudding Theatricals of Harvard University, which is (as I'm sure some of you already know) the oldest undergraduate drama troupe in the States.

Charlize was appointed "woman of the year" by Hasty Pudding. That name makes me feel so hungry, by the way. The award (which has a male counterpart for "man of the year") is given each year to performers who are deemed to have made a "lasting and impressive contribution to the world of entertainment. She's done so many different projects, she has such a range, she's someone we can look up to" states Talisa Friedman, a spokeswoman for Hasty Pudding. While Charlize seemed happy to accept the trophy (which consisted of a gold-colored pudding pot), she first had to prove herself worthy of it, which explains the photo that initially shocked me.

She also decided to come clean to the audience about her own academic background. "I hope you all know I'm a high school dropout. I just thought I'd be clean with you guys", Theron said Thursday. "I went to school in Africa but I'm really, really honored to be here". After the parade, Theron attended a news conference and talked about her latest movie, which is directed by Stuart Townsend, her longtime boyfriend. "It's really impressive when you're dating somebody for eight years, then all of a sudden they do something that you never thought they could do, and then they do it really well. He's a really talented writer and director. I really loved working with him" she stated. Well, more of the same positive attitude and inspired acting, and maybe we'll be seeing Charlize walk off with a second golden statuette to match her golden pot. Who knows?
