14 DAY TRIAL // Charlize Theron is a mommy. The gorgeous actress has adopted a baby boy named Jackson, reports in the press say, confirmed by her publicist. Further details are not available at the moment.
She never spoke to the press about her intention to adopt but, then again, Charlize was never the kind of celebrity that dishes all the details of her personal life whenever she's promoting a film.
Her fans will be happy to know, though, that she's now a mommy – and confirmation comes straight from her publicist, Us Weekly reports.
“Charlize Theron has adopted a child. She is the proud mom of a healthy baby boy named Jackson,” a rep for the 36-year-old star says in a brief announcement for the celebrity publication.
A source also tells Us that Jackson is African-American and that Charlize had actually been planning the adoption for a very long time.
“According to a source close to the single Young Adult star, little Jackson was born in the United States, and is African-American. Jackson is the first child for Theron,” Us writes.
“She has always wanted to be a mom. She is glad to be able to do it on her own now and is so happy to be a mom,” the unnamed spy is quoted as saying.
In January 2010, Charlize broke up from boyfriend of 9 years Stuart Townsend. She'd spoken before about being very much against marriage, and did it again shortly afterwards, saying a piece of paper offered no guarantee that the relationship would last for a lifetime.
With all this, she always said she'd like to have children, and now she has one.
Recent reports also claim that Charlize might be dating again, after being spotted on what looked like a romantic outing with “True Blood” handsome star Alexander Skarsgard.
They're very much into each other, and Charlize is actually hoping that Alex is the one that would be able to cure her heartbreak, word has it, as we also informed you some days ago.
