Now that he’s out of a job since CBS pulled the plug on the rest of the current season of “Two and a Half Men,” Charlie Sheen is looking for other means to bring in the dough. This is also why he’s joined Twitter a couple of days ago, it has emerged.
For some days in a row, Sheen has been on virtually every channel but perhaps nothing was as surprising as his decision to join Twitter.
Proof that everybody likes a dose of Sheen’s “winning” steak, in a little over 24 hours, Sheen got 1 million followers and thus set a whole new Guinness World Record for the person to reach 1 million fastest, as we also
informed you yesterday.
For those wondering “so, what now?,”
TMZ has the answer: the more followers Sheen gets, the more he boosts his odds at making a quick buck with his account, which is his purpose.
“Charlie Sheen told TMZ the reason he’s taken up Twitter is simple – it’s a ‘cash cow’,” the e-zine writes. If he gets plenty of followers, he will have people pay him to tweet.
“Sheen told us, his primary motivation behind the new ramblings is that he can score a fortune through advertising. To give this some context, Kim Kardashian is reportedly pulling in $10,000 per tweet,” TMZ further reports.
“We pressed him more, and Charlie interrupted by saying, ‘Mike, I’m unemployed!’” the same media outlet says after speaking with the actor.
Indeed, Sheen wouldn’t be the first celebrity to make money off Twitter, by agreeing to include certain messages to his fans / followers that would benefit a third party.
In the meantime though, Twitter is costing him a custody agreement he had with his ex wife Brooke Mueller,
TMZ also notes in a separate post.
After Sheen’s boys
were removed from his LA mansion by police, he and Brooke have been meeting to discuss a potential custody agreement.
One seems to have been reached just recently: it was just a verbal temporary one, and came with the only condition that Sheen did not talk about it.
He tweeted and it all came crumbling down.
