14 DAY TRIAL // While trying to maintain a healthy relationship with her ex-husband Charlie Sheen for the sake of their children, Denise Richards also wants to make sure she doesn’t take a wrong step – so she refused Charlie’s generous present of a new house.
A new report in the Huffington Post claims that Sheen wanted to organize some sort of family reunion by getting both his ex-wives living down the same street as he is.
This way, he could have had easier and quicker access to the four children he has with them. Denise has already turned down the generous offer – but no word yet on how Brooke Mueller responded to it.
“It is true that Denise is moving homes in the next couple of weeks but she isn’t moving into Charlie’s neighborhood,” a source close to the actress says for the celebrity publication.
She’s not moving to Beverly Hills where Sheen bought a brand new property for her, she’s moving to the same California compound that the likes of Britney Spears and Jennifer Lopez call home now.
Richards already owns a house there and she’s been renovating it.
“She’s returning to the beautiful home we all got to see on her reality show. She’s moving back into the house she bought 5 years ago. After a long two-year remodeling,” the insider says.
“Denise has been renting a house down the street while renovating. But she can’t wait to get back into her house with her three girls and show their new rooms and the brick oven put in especially for making pizza,” the spy adds.
However, for Sheen’s fans, the mere fact that he’s making the effort to get along with his exes is a clear sign that he’s on the path of recovery – from whatever it was he had earlier this year, during his very public and, to some, entertaining meltdown.
Just recently, he also flew Brooke Mueller to Mexico for a weekend of R&R, after she successfully completed another stay in rehab.
