Charlie Sheen says he’s working on new show to rival “Two and a Half Men” on CBS

And, this time, it’s has nothing to do with “Two and a Half Men.” Charlie Sheen, who’s just concluded his tour across the US called “My Violent Torpedo of Truth / Defeat Is Not an Option,” has recently revealed that he’s working on a brand new, rival TV show, it has emerged.

As fans must know and as The Hollywood Reporter also notes, Sheen’s live tour has been a near hit-and-miss with audiences, with most ticket holders not even sure what they expected when they got in, but definitely disappointed by what they eventually got.

THR underlines that, by the time the actor wrapped his tour in Washington the other night, he managed to settle into a routine of jokes and snarky comments, most of them about his former bosses, CBS, Warner Bros. and “Two and a Half Men” creator Chuck Lorre.

Sheen is suing all of them to the tune of $100 million for firing him from the show when it became clear that his addictions and mental issues were putting the entire project at risk.

“The fired Two and a Half Men actor, who is suing his former bosses at Warner Bros. TV and series co-creator Chuck Lorre, told the audience that he is planning to star in a competing TV show for another network (in other words, not CBS),” THR writes.

“Sheen apparently didn’t give any further details except to say the show would be ‘epic,’ but it’s not clear how serious he was when he made the comments,” says the e-zine.

Indeed, it’s hard to take Sheen for his word at this stage, especially since, not long ago, he was saying that he was in serious talks with the network to come back to “Two and a Half Men.”

While this would have been excellent news for the millions of fans from around the world, reports were quickly squashed by reps for CBS and Warner Bros., who said that they never even considered asking Sheen back on his former job.

“As you know, there have been no discussions, there are no discussions, and there will be no discussions, regarding his returning to or having any involvement in the series,” a letter from said reps to Sheen’s attorney, Marty Singer, read, as we also informed you at the time.
