For weeks now, Charlie Sheen has been saying that he’s neither on drugs nor insane, but it’s just now that the reality of it is catching up with him. “I’m losing my mind,” the actor says in an interview with Life & Style magazine.

Sheen was officially fired from “Two and a Half Men” yesterday. Before that, he lost the custody of his two children with ex-wife Brooke Mueller, who had police officers remove them from his home.

Even before that, Charlie ended a 36-hour cocaine binge with the Goddesses in the hospital. It’s only to be expected that his friends are worried for his life and safety, fearing he may attempt to take his own life.

Sheen too has noticed that things are going downhill and, for the first time ever, he’s not afraid to say it.

“I’m really starting to lose my mind. I’m ready to call anyone to help,” Sheen tells the celebrity magazine in a brand new interview.

He admits that losing the boys was what sent him and his life in tailspin – which is why he’s determined to get them back from Brooke, his ex-wife.

“She can’t keep them from me. I won’t let her – I’ll do anything to get them back,” he says.

In the meantime, though, he’s having a hard time getting a grip on everything that’s going on.

“I’m really trying to contain myself right now. My lawyer wants to come over to my house and take the bullets out of my gun,” the actor admits.

His attorney is not the only one to fear the worst: friends also tell the magazine that they imagine the worst is yet to come.

The recent developments (losing custody, getting fired) have made Charlie go over the edge, and they believe he may start using drugs again or, even worse, attempt to take his own life.

“Charlie’s losing it. He’s really mad about the show, and dealing with the kids and Brooke is getting to be too much. Charlie is a ticking time bomb, and we all fear he could do something drastic like committing suicide or falling back on hard drugs,” an unnamed source explains.
