14 DAY TRIAL // Inventor Joco Paulo Lammoglia, from Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, has just the thing to make our lives greener and less impacting on the environment: a device that turns breath into electricity.
AIRE is a mask that contains very small turbines, which turn every breath into electricity. It's then sent down a cable into a device, thus charging it.
Besides the obvious advantage of being able to use it to charge any device from iPod to mobile phone, the AIRE mask has another, unbeatable plus: it can be used at all times, no matter what.
“It can be used indoors or outdoors, while you're sleeping, walking, running or even reading a book. Besides saving energy and helping environmental preservation, it also encourages physical exercise,” Lammoglia says.
“Its energy is available 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Though many of our modern gadgets offer benefits, they tend to use a high amount of electrical energy,” he explains.
For the time being, the mask is in concept stage. The inventor doesn't say how many breaths would be required to charge one device or the other.
However, looking at it, “Luke, I am your father” jokes do spring to mind.
