It's almost unbelievable what sustainable fashion can offer when it counts on renewables. A talented designer has created an amazing line of eco-conscious clothes, made of 100% organic, animal-friendly fabrics that can now charge our cell phones.

Sandra Garratt is the proud design director of Silvr Lining, a company that has decided to launch an innovative collection, thinking that things we wear could have further functionality beyond that of sheltering our bodies from the elements.

Drawing on the 2008 recession for inspiration and the obvious bumps in the road represented by energy shortages, the company thought about ways of delivering alternative sources of power right into our own pockets, Earth Techling reports.

Since the plan looked brilliant on paper, Garratt started working with Douglas Holmes, an electrical engineer waiting for new opportunities. They both succeeded in launching the Silvr Lining’s GO Collection, proving that sportswear can become an amazing mixture of green technologies and great fashion sense.

As a result, the company is now offering a line of clothing items integrating solar panels that can charge the wearer's mobile phone. The ingenious panels display a power pack that can be connected to cell phones. Those who decide to invest in sustainable fashion will never have to worry again about the uncomfortable, frequent situation when they run out of battery.

Just as thrilling is the fact that most items in the collection are unisex, therefore both men and women can use the same power-jacket when they go for a walk in the park. Moreover, even if the jackets, vests and pants are casual and seem like the perfect option for hikes and trips to the countryside, they are extremely adaptable to any situation, since they come with belts and drawstrings that help you display a wasp waist.

You don't even have to worry about cleaning them, since they do not require extra measures of precaution. Owners can simply remove the panels and wash these products like any other clothing item. As for the panels, all buyers can just wipe them with a clean cloth and the job is done.

PETA officials will definitely support this awesome invention, since all products are made of recycled polyesters and they do not hide or support animal cruelty.

Renewables are a strong element in the entire puzzle, but fashion trends are also being followed, since the designer decided to select some of the hottest colors of the season, including magenta, orange and a few shades of green, a color that can definitely describe the attitude of the manufacturing company.
