Chaos Legion is a video game developed and published by Capcom and created for the PlayStation 2 gaming console from Sony and for the PC. Released in 2003, the game is classed as an action adventure title with a lot of role playing elements intertwined in the gameplay, and it is played from a third person perspective.
The game puts the player in the shoes of a young knight, named Sieg Wahrheit, who must face an old friend, Victor Delacroix, who has turned to the side of evil in this gothic themed action adventure. The latter steals the forbidden Apocrypha of Yzarc, which holds immense power, and Sieg must go out and stop him from using it.
There are different warrior legions each with its own signature weaponry that the player can control in the game. Every unit needs to be summoned before it can be commanded and all the weapons at your disposal are also there to be used by the enemy. The levels are rather large and the graphics quality is also good. The bad news is that the game tends to be hard, with killing all the enemies on a map as a precondition to advance to a new level. The Legion mechanics also has some drawbacks, with the Legions being virtually uncontrollable.
GAMEPLAY HINTS
Gun Legion
When you are using the Gun Legion, press Triangle as fast as possible. Every time you press, your legion will fire a full strength shot while using no SP.
Hatred Legion
The Hatred Legion is useful when you need some serious back-breaking power. It is best to rely on these Hulk-like legionnaires if the enemy number is great and you are in need of a little break. They are best left in active mode. However, if you fiddle around with passive mode and target elimination, you can become a ferocious force with this legion.
Malice Legion
This is the crossbow Legion best saved for large numbers of metallic enemies. Sniping is a great option, but consumes Soul Power. When the metallic enemies draw within ten feet of your legion, tap Force Attack repeatedly to "group snipe" them. Keep in mind that this is a great Legion for large numbers, but for other metallic enemies that are as powerful as the Hatred legion, (for example, the armor suits on levels 10 and 11), consider using the Flawed Legion.
