Channel 4: "We Apologize to Cruise for Any Offense That Was Caused"

Channel 4 apologized today to Tom Cruise for the yesterday water incident. As you remember, Tom Cruise was attending the London premiere of his latest movie, "War Of The Worlds", when he was splashed with water by one of the reporters that were taking interviews.

"The stunt was intended to be light hearted rather than malicious and we apologize to Cruise for any offense that was caused," a Channel 4 spokesperson said.

The four reporters are working for a new comedy show Channel 4 is launching and would feature celebrities while making them the victim of practical jokes.

The reporters arrested for squirting Tom Cruise with water at the London premiere of War Of The Worlds were released on police bail yesterday.
