Champions of Norrath: Realms of Everquest is a video game created by Snowblind Studios and published by
Sony Online Entertainment. It was only developed for the PlayStation 2 gaming console from Sony and published in 2005. The game is classed as an action title with a dark medieval theme that sought to introduce some light role playing game elements. It is played from a third person perspective.

The game is a direct sequel to Champions of Norrath and the action is set yet again in the EverQuest universe. There is an evil power, Innoruuk that was destroyed and his pieces or shards were scattered amongst the Planes of Power. The quest that the player undertakes is to collect all the shards; then, he can decide whether he wants to be good and destroy them or go down the dark path and restore him. Most reviewers stated that the story of the game was rather weak, with forgettable characters and uninterested levels.

The level up elements and the weapon selection in the game are well done and there are varied enemies that require varied tactics to take down. The combat in the game might be its strong suit.

The game offers two more races than the original release and there is an option to import a character that you have completed the original game with.

CHEATS

5,000 lb carrying capacity/dual-wielding Dark Elf

At the character customization screen after you have entered your name and have the "Done" command highlighted, hold L1 + L2 + R1 + R2 + L3 + R3 + Triangle then press X to proceed. While holding all the buttons, including X, skip the next intermission sequence by pressing Start. Once you are able to control your character, release the buttons and check your inventory. You should have a carrying capacity of 5,000 lbs and if you are playing as a Dark Elf, you will be able to dual-wield. Note: Although the dual-wielding feat is permanent, you will only have the 5000 lbs carrying capacity until you turn off the game.

GAMEPLAY HINTS

High level character

Use the following trick to get a character from level 1 to 19 instantly. Have an old save game from the Cloud Giant King (before you defeat him) at the Tower of Clouds. Start a new game as your desired character and save. Almost defeat the Cloud Giant King with your normal character then import your level 1 character to finish him off. Your level 1 character will instantly jump to level 19.
