14 DAY TRIAL // Could the love between Char Kroeger and Avril Lavigne have died so soon? The two Canadian singers are headed for a divorce despite not having celebrated their second wedding anniversary, if we're to believe a recent report.
The report comes from Daily Mail and it's a continuation of a rumor that popped up first back in May, claiming that the Nickelback singer and Avril were having marital issues and were headed for a split. The rumor died down eventually and Chad and Lavigne ended up making it to their first wedding anniversary.
Chad goes around town telling people his marriage is over
A source is being quoted by the e-zine, claiming that Chad has been going around town telling people that his marriage to Lavigne is over. Just last month, Avril was seen without her wedding ring as she stepped out at the snazzy Chateau Marmont for a night out with her girlfriends.
This all happened after, earlier this year, she gushed on social media about getting a 17-carat diamond ring from Chad, for their July anniversary. Since then, the tweet has been deleted, acting as further proof that the couple was becoming more estranged by the day.
The couple seems oblivious to one another on social media
The same sources indicate that things aren't going well at all between the two rock singers who are now totally absent from each other's social media feeds, something which is unacceptable for married people in general.
The insider claims he knows the reason for the split, “Chad is just a complete jerk in the way he talks to her, and the way he talks to people in general,” adding the obvious “A lot of her friends don’t like him.”
Of course, others have speculated that the split might also be connected with the fact that Avril's latest effort aimed at breaking her into the Japanese market with a song written by Chad was a complete failure and the video sparked many controversies on YouTube.
The couple got married last year in a private ceremony in the south of France, after a whirlwind romance that lasted only one month. For this reason, many thought the marriage wasn't going to last, especially since both Avril and Chad have earned reputations of overgrown teenagers.
The fact that Avril and Chad seem to be avoiding each other on social media could be due to the fact that they've run into a rough patch and they're working it out. Then again, entertainers are known for their oversized egos and these two might just be clashing enough to cause them a split.
