Mark Cerny, the leader of the development team at Sony who created the new PlayStation 4, says that his device is designed to deliver great performance on day one and is easier to developed for than the PS3.

Speaking during the GameLab expo, the hardware creator explained a concept called “time to triangle,” which is designed to express how long a development team needs to work in order to create usable game graphics with a piece of hardware.

The median time for the PlayStation 4 is about one to two months, according to CVG.

For the original PlayStation device, the period was similar and then grew for the second and the third version of the brand.

Cerny also says that his team made sure that all development teams working on the PS4 will be able to deliver great day one gaming experiences.
