Centipede & Millipede - Achievements

Centipede and Millipede, two of Atari's best loved arcade classics, are now available tobe downloaded and played through the Xbox 360's Internet service, Xbox Live Arcade.

Centipede challenges gamers to defend their villages against an onslaught of centipedes, spiders, army ants and more. However, XBLA also provides gamers with an evolved version which features pre- rendered, high definition graphics, special effects like motion blur, trails and particle-based explosions.

Atari's 'Centipede' and 'Millipede' on Xbox LIVE Arcade are great examples of classic games taken to the next level. The evolved versions of both games provide gamers with the gameplay they know and love, and are stunningly rendered in high definition graphics. Now that gamers have direct access to 'Centipede' and 'Millipede' through Xbox LIVE Arcade, it will be easier than ever for fans of all ages to enjoy these classics just like gamers did in neighborhood arcades decades ago.

In the original Millipede, a chain of arthropods that creep down from the top of the screen is the primary challenge, while scattered mushrooms are the gamers' main tool to shoot, destroy and redirect the menacing millipedes. The XBLA version of Millipede has updated graphics. Nothing more, nothing less.

Score over 50,000 points Centipede - Default difficulty.

5. Barren - 20 points
Destroy all mushrooms on the screen Centipede - Default difficulty.

6. Entity - 20 points
Have 3 lives in hand Millipede - Default difficulty.

7. Eradicate - 20 points
Reach wave 8 without a millipede reaching the bottom Millipede - Default difficulty.

8. Exterminate - 20 points
Reach wave 8 without a centipede reaching the bottom Centipede - Default difficulty.

9. Lunatic - 20 points
Score 25,000 points Millipede - Throttle Monkey mode.

10. Maniac - 20 points
Score over 15,000 Centipede - Throttle Monkey mode.

11. Poison - 20 points
Destroy a spider for 1800 points Millipede - Default difficulty.

12. Spirit - 20 points
Have 3 lives in hand Centipede - Default difficulty.
