14 DAY TRIAL // According to a new leak over at Sonny Dickson’s blog, the iPad mini 2 will look exactly the same as its predecessor. And that includes the cellular version of the diminutive tablet as well.
A large gallery of high-res pictures over at SonnyDickson.com reveals that the iPad mini 2, which is expected to arrive with an updated Retina display and other perks, depicts the new tablet as an identical replica of the original.
At least that’s what the images suggest. The silvery aluminum finish is the same, the Apple logo on the back is unchanged, and the ports are all in the same places and of the same size (not sure about that jack plug though).
Inside, only a few minor differences can be spotted (such as the placement of some part holders), and I’m not sure what’s up with the white radio windows, but they’re probably prototype placeholders. Those plastic parts are usually black.
