Celkon Mobiles has just announced the upcoming availability of the budget-friendly AR45 RahmanIshq Android smartphone in India.

Fonearena reports that the smartphone has been recently introduced during a press event in Kolkata and that it will go on sale sometime in October.

Celkon AR45 RahmanIshq will be available for purchase at all major retailers across the country for only Rs 7,999 ($125 / €95) off contract.

According to Celkon, AR45’s official release was the first ever 4D holographic launch event in India. It is also worth mentioning that Celkon’s AR45 RahmanIshq is aimed at music lovers.

Thus, the smartphone comes with dual-speakers with K-class amplifier and will be pre-loaded with AR Rahman’s top hits. In addition, the AR45 has been confirmed to feature Shake & Transfer capability, which allows users to transfer files by simply shaking the phone.

Although the handset ships with Android 4.2 Jelly Bean operating system out of the box, Celkon has announced that the smartphone will feature a proprietary UI with a customized music player, interactive gaming and more.

Obviously, it will offer dual-SIM support and a more than decent 1.2 GHz dual-core processor. No word on the amount of RAM yet, but Celkon states that it comes with 4GB of internal memory and microSD card slot for memory expansion (up to 32GB).

Celkon AR45 RahmanIshq is the first in the series with the same name (RahmanIshq) and sports a large 4.5-inch capacitive touchscreen display and a decent 5-megapixel rear-facing camera with autofocus and video recording.

Last but not least, the smartphone is said to offer Bluetooth 4.0 and Wi-Fi connectivity, along with 3G and built-in GPS.

Design-wise, Celkon’s budget-friendly smartphone is only 9.9mm thick, but other than that, there’s no telling how it will stand out from other handsets in the same price range. Stay tuned for more updates on the matter.
