Celine Dion says she’s tried 15,000 baby names, still hasn’t found the right ones for her twins
Celine Dion says she’s tried 15,000 baby names, still hasn’t found the right ones for her twins

Since this past weekend, Celine Dion is now mother to three boys, or a “queen bee,” as she likes to think of herself. In the first interview since giving birth to twins, the singer opens up about the latest additions to her family.

As we also informed you at the time, Celine gave birth to twin boys on Saturday, via C-section. Though the children were put in an incubator immediately, both they and the mother are fine.

Celine’s doctor said back then she would consider what to name the boys after she recovers a bit – but she’s now revealing that she’s having a very hard time choosing the boys’ names.

It’s not that she hasn’t given it a thought, Celine explains to Gala magazine, as cited by People. It’s that she has given it too much thought that’s holding her back.

“I’ve read nearly 15,000 names, and nothing has stuck.” Celine reveals, confirming that, just like any other parent, she did her fair share of research before the arrival of the babies.

Then, there’s also the fact that she’s receiving conflicting feedback from those around her that’s holding her back in choosing the boys’ names, she explains.

“Because [elder son] René-Charles goes to school in the United States, he’s suggested English first names. My mother, on the other hand, has been hinting about very French first names and we’re going a little bit crazy trying to decide,” the singer says.

In the same interview, Celine admits she would have liked to have a girl, had it been up to her to decide. However, the moment she heard she was expecting twins, none of that mattered anymore.

All that counts now, she says, is that the babies are in good health – which they are. “I’m truly happy,” Dion gushes.

“I don’t care about my figure. I never have and I’m not worried. In any case, I’m not going on any diet because I want to breastfeed,” the singer also says.

“Besides I have a really good stylist and if it’s a question of going up a dress size or two – well, so be it,” the singer adds with a wink.
