In the wake of Whitney Houston's death, celebrities are speaking out on the terrible loss the music industry has suffered and, at the same time, on how fame and drugs are a fatal combination.

Celine Dion is just one of these stars.

In a phone interview with Good Morning America, the singer opened up on the topic of Whitney's death, stressing how heartbreaking it is to see such an icon succumb to addiction.

“It's just really unfortunate that drugs, bad people, bad influences took over her dreams, her motherhood,” Celine said on GMA.

For the time being, though, the cause of death has not been determined. An investigation is ongoing, so Celine is just speculating and speaking on rumors.

“When you think about Elvis Presley, Marilyn Monroe, Amy Winehouse, Michael Jackson... To get into drugs like that for whatever reason – because of stress, bad influence, whatever,” the diva added.

However, she pointed out, Whitney's music will live with us for ever. It's just such a crying shame she can't be here with us while it does.
