Embrace the look of love

This summer, all women must embrace their inner cuteness and child-like sweetness and go for items that are made up mostly either of bright, pastel colors or of mismatched pieces, stylists say. On this note, a pair of heart-shaped sunglasses is the perfect accessory to complete the adorably cute look, if we’re to take a hint from the many female celebrities who have recently donned one.

Stars from Pixie Lott, Paris Hilton, Katie Price, Kelly Osbourne, Avril Lavigne, Katy Perry, Nicole Richie and many others have been spotted, some time or another in the past few months, wearing a pair of heart shades. Either in bright pastel colors and reminding of the sunglasses we used to wear when we were just children, or in more sophisticated shades of brown and grey, they have the advantage of bringing some edge to what can be a plain outfit otherwise, while also denoting tons of personality.

The consensus is that no one over 23 can pull off the heart shades without coming off as ridiculous, yet stylists disagree with that to a certain extent. This (relatively) new accessory does not have an age limit per se, but it does require a very strong (preferably quirky) personality to work, as well as an innate sense of fashion. Clearly, one such pair of shades must go hand in hand with the entire outfit so ladies who think they might be in danger of matching it with a casual or even elegant outfit might as well skip the idea completely, it is being said.

The range of options available is so impressively wide that, undoubtedly, few are the women who can’t find one to their liking if they’re really determined to give this new trend a go. As noted above, from the more sophisticated shades of brown and grey (which are only mildly different from regular oversized shades), to pastel colors (blue and green in particular) and the delicate pinks and reds, models of heart sunglasses are as varied as any woman might want.

There is also the hip shutter-type of heart shades – the kind rapper Kanye West used to wear, and recently donned by heiress Paris Hilton – but they are clearly only for the most radical of fashionistas. Plus, they do make walking and seeing rather hard since it takes some getting used to them. Still, this model too is an option worth considering this summer – celebrities say so.
