14 DAY TRIAL // Not long ago, we talked about how several worldwide known celebrities were expected to soon attend this year's Oceana SeaChange Party. Some of the names worth mentioning are Morgan Freeman, Ted Danson, Steve Howey, Bella Thorne and Sarah Shahi.
Now that the event took place, it's time to see what the fuss was all about.
Apparently, thanks to this meeting of the stars, non-profit organization Oceana is soon to receive a donation of up to $1 million (about €0.8 million), money which will be used to implement marine conservation projects.
Speaking about the importance of this Laguna Beach, CA gathering, Morgan Freeman addressed the other celebrities present at the event as follows: “We need people who love and understand the ocean to speak up for it. People like you – the ocean heroes of SeaChange. I have the utmost faith that this can happen. That we can save our oceans.”
Hopefully, similar fund-raising events will soon follow.
