Apparently, there wasn't enough Christmas spirit in Sims 2. Because of that, Maxis has announced an add-on, which is all about the winter holidays.

The add-on will contain over 40 winter objects, with which the players will be able to decorate their Christmas tree, or even set up a traditional dinner. And since Christmas is perfect for celebrating, the players will be able to organize parties, where the surprise guest will be Santa Klaus.

Senior Producer Tim LeTourneau thinks that the game's fans are trying by all means possible, like building and decorating a house, finding the right partner or decorating the Christmas tree, to get involved in the Sims' lives.

The add-on will be available in two formats, sometime around the very period it makes reference to. Sims Christmas will be included in both The Sims 2 Holiday Edition and The Sims 2 Holiday Party Pack.
