Even with MWC 2011 hosting the launch of many products, PC and PC hardware makers, like Cougar, are looking forward to CeBIT, when they too will be able to announce their latest creations, such as new PSUs and cases.

Now that the trade show focused on mobile devices is ending, IT companies are looking to the future and preparing for new occasions where they may get recognition.

Considering that CeBIT 2011 is not too far off (it will take place on March 1-5), Cougar decided it may as well show off some of its newest creations.

Apparently, it plans to make quite an impression by unleashing a high-end PC case, plus a series of power supplies whose energy efficiency few can match.

As far as the enclosure goes, it has the name of Evolution and features, as selling points, six 5.25-inch bays, a side window, support for both 3.5-inch an 2.5-inch drives, enough room for video cards of up to 305mm in length and tool-free drive installation.

Additionally, the chassis can fit up to seven fans on the inside, has dust filters at the bottom and on the front and boasts a fan controller, plus a top I/O panel with USB 3.0.

Cougar's series of PSUs is branded Platinum, in tune with their high energy efficiency of at least 90%, 92% and 89% at 20%, 50% and 100% load, respectively, which earned them 80Plus Platinum certification.

So far, a singe model of this type has been developed, whose power output is of 700W and which likely has a modular design (the photo seems to suggest this much).

Basically, the enclosure is optimized for enthusiasts while the PSU should handle any and all power tasks while wasting very little energy.

No word has been given on the pricing and exact availability date for either product, but CeBIT 2011 should see these final mysteries solved.
