We're just a few days away of CeBIT 2015 opening and BlackBerry has already announced its first new product that will be showcased at the trade fair.

The new SecuTABLET is a unique tablet aimed at business customers. In fact, according to BlackBerry, the slate has been specifically created for “national and international public sector markets and enterprises,” which means it won't be available to the general public.

In order to bring the SecuTABLET to the market, BlackBerry has teamed up with Samsung and IBM. First of all, the slate is based on Samsung's Galaxy Tab S 10.5 tablet, while IBM has provided the secure application wrapping technology.

IBM also confirmed that it has assisted BlackBerry in implementing high security solutions by Secusmart within the infrastructures of various customers in the governmental sector.

“Working alongside IBM and Samsung, we have added the last link in the chain of the Federal Security Network. Subject to certification of the SecuTABLET, German government agencies will have a new way to access BlackBerry's most secure and complete communications network in the world,” said Dr. Hans-Christoph Quelle, CEO of Secusmart GmbH, a BlackBerry company.

The tablet includes most of the hardware inside the Galaxy Tab S 10.5

The SecuTABLET is supposed to supplement the SecuSUITE for BlackBerry 10 and can be easily integrated within existing SecuSUITE infrastructures.

All personal applications on the tablet, including those that are not additionally secured, such as Facebook, YouTube, Twitter and WhatsApp, can also be used.

Spec-wise, the SecuTABLET is expected to come with the same features as the Galaxy Tab S 10.5. The latter is equipped with an octa-core Exynos 5 Octa 5420 processor clocked at 1.9GHz, 3GB of RAM and 16/32GB of internal memory.

It also sports a 10.5-inch Super AMOLED capacitive touchscreen display that supports 2560 x 1600 pixels resolution. There might be an 8-megapixel camera on the back and 2.1-megapixel camera in the front.

No word on price tag and availability, but since this won't be available to general public, we will probably never learn any details on these.
