The Radeon HD 7950 is the second best single-GPU video board from Advanced Micro Devices, so it stands to reason that new versions of it would get attention.

Sapphire is the company getting recognized, not just because it made a new version of the board, but because of the nature of said board.

The new adapter is called Radeon HD 7950 Mac Edition, meaning that it is aimed at Apple Mac systems.

The silver-white cooler shroud covering it definitely fits the theme.

Spec-wise, the newcomer has reference performance: 3 GB GDDR5 VRAM at 5 GHz frequency, and an 800 MHz clock speed for the GPU. The 384-bit memory interface was left the same.

Sapphire's card also has an HDMI output, two mini-DisplayPort connectors, and a DVI. SLI CrossFireX may or may not be supported. The connector exists, but Apple's software will decide matters.

The price of the board will be $450 / 345-450 Euro and the two necessary 6-pin power connectors sell for $25 / 19-25 Euro on the Apple store.
