One of the biggest surprises at this year's Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas, Nevada came from MSI, which has been showcasing its new X-Slim portable computer systems, designed to provide users with an ultra-slim portable PC, much like Apple's already famous MacBook Air. Just recently, the Taiwanese company unveiled some new models of its new X-Slim product range, in addition to a new Wind nettop and two new Wind all-in-one PCs. All these new systems should also be part of the company's lineup for the upcoming CeBIT show in Hanover, Germany, starting on March 3, 2009.

The X-Slim 320 model was the first showcased at CES, earlier this year. However, MSI appears to have big plans for its X-Slim product range, as the company has recently unveiled two new models, packing the same Air-like form-factor. There's the 13.4-inch X340 and a 15.6-inch X600 model, both of which should be showcased at CeBIT, next month. There are few details on the two, for the time being and it appears that the X340 will be out with a price range of $699-$999 in the US, providing users with both an HDMI and a VGA output. Both systems are based on a Centrino 2 platform and the X600 will also sport an eSATA port in addition to a number of USB ports.

In addition to the new X-Slim laptops, MSI will also showcase a new Atom-powered Wind Box, providing users with the computing power of an Atom N270 processor, 1GB of RAM and a 160GB hard drive, pretty much what you will get in one of the many netbooks on the market, but in a desktop form factor. As with the X-Slim portable PCs, the Wind Box should be making an appearance at CeBIT in March.

Rounding up MSI's CeBIT 2009 lineup, the company is expected to unveil three new Wind Top all-in-one desktop systems, one sporting a 19-inch display, the AE1900, one with a 20-inch display, the AE2010, and the last with a 22-inch display, the AE2200. All will be sporting touchscreen technology and the AE2010 appears to be based on an AMD 780G chipset with an Athlon 1.5GH processor, 2GB of DDR2 RAM, DVD burner and a 1600 by 1900 resolution. There are few specifications available on the other two models, but we should know more when they'll be showcased at CeBIT, next month.
