Micro Star International came to the CeBIT 2009 show in Germany with an entire series of new products, including MSI Notebook, Mainboard, Graphics Card, All-In-One PC, Car PC, and Industrial PC as well as the latest MSI X-Slim Ultra-Portable Notebook X340, X320 and X600.

The new X340 Ultra Portable Notebook has been designed to deliver a wide range of multimedia functions. As such, it includes a 16:9 widescreen 13” LED display and weighs only 1.3kg, and it is powered by an Intel Centrino mobile platform with ULV CPU, which is meant to provide high performance, multimedia features, as well as power saving advantages. In addition, the new X340 comes in three different colors for consumers, namely Splendid Champagne Gold, Elegant Pearl White and Stylish Techno Black.

The X-Slim product lineup was launched this year by MSI and it aims at a “Light, Slim, Aesthetic” product design. The X320 Notebook is seen only as the pioneer of the series, as the company plans to expand the X-Slim lineup with even more innovative ultra-portable notebooks. The new X340 mobile PC has been built on the success of the X320, thus sporting about the same specs as its predecessor.

The X340 ultra-portable notebook measures only 1.98cm at its thickest point, and only 6mm at its thinnest. The power consumption of the new device is only one sixth compared to another notebook computer, yet this mobile PC also includes full I/O ports, HDMI port, as well as Blu-Ray support, not to mention 802.11 b/g/n Wi-Fi connection, Bluetooth connection, and even optional WiMAX modules.

In addition, MSI also featured larger notebook models with the same ultra-portable concept and design. The new X600 comes with a 16:9 widescreen 15” display while weighing only 2kg. According to Sam Chern, MSI’s marketing director, the X600 with Intel Centrino mobile platform and ULV CPU is aimed at the 16” notebook market and is expected to achieve new heights in sales.
