With most companies turning their attention to netbooks, OCZ's recent move to release its own such system seems somewhat natural. With the Neutrino, the memory company is aiming to provide users with an alternative design to other Intel Atom-powered systems on the market. In addition, OCZ takes advantage of its vast experience in the memory field, consequently enabling the new netbook to provide users with better memory and a high-performance storage solution.

According to the company, the new Neutrino has been designed with the idea of pushing the limits in the market area even further than before. First of all, it should be noted that the memory company has packed inside this small machine a lot of features to help users while on the go, as well as for educational or home use. OCZ has come up to the market with a lightweight product that is able to provide all the necessary performance for necessary applications.

Inside the machine, we'll be able to spot an Intel Atom processor N270 1.6GHz that sports 512KB of L2 cache. The machine also includes the Intel 945GSE + ICH7M chipset, and provides support for up to 2GB of DDR2 memory. In addition, the netbook has been built with OCZ 250GB SSD, but also offers support for 2.5'' 250GB 5400 HDDs. Neutrino also includes a 4 in 1 card reader, with support for SD/MMC/MS/MS-Pro.

There is also a 10'' WSVGA LED Backlight display, as well as an integrated Intel 945GSE graphics solution. The netbook also sports two 1.5W speakers, one PCI Express slot, MicroPad, one VGA port, one RJ-45, two USB 2.0 ports, DC-in and headphone jacks. Neutrino also features a built-in 1.3MP camera with built-in microphone, as well as wireless 802.11b/g connectivity. The system is powered by a 4-cell 2200mAh battery, weighs 2.86lbs and measures 263 x 185 x 19.6 mm. According to OCZ, the netbook supports both Windows XP and gOS/Ubuntu Linux.
