Back in February, at the MWC show in Barcelona, LG Electronics announced the release of its smart and stylish new netbook, the LG-X120. The device sports 3G HSPA connectivity, as well as compact, portable design, allowing users to stay connected anywhere at any time. The company has also come at the CeBIT show in Hanover, Germany, and the Softpedia team has managed to take a better look at the system.

Easy connectivity is the main feature of the LG-X120. In addition to the 3G HSPA, a 160GB hard disk drive, as well as a Smart-On interface make the device an easy to use mobile PC at all times. The interface has been made by splashtop, and it seems that the machine is able to Smart-On screen in about 7 or 8 seconds. The netbook also provides easy access to its MP3 player, Photo Viewer and to the Internet suite it includes, while the keyboard seems easy to use and feels nice to the touch.

The LG-X120 benefits from Smart-Link technology and can be connected through a simple USB cable to any computer for file sharing purposes or for installing new applications. It packs an advanced security function that enables safe file sharing even when the device is connected to other computers, no important information being compromised.

Besides easy mobility, the LG-X12 comes with a stylish design, being soft textured, with a classic white exterior that can blend with any style, while lime or pink detailing are meant to add a splash of color, yet it is also fingerprint and scratch resistant. The netbook weighs only 1.2kg, while packing a 3 cell battery that can provide 3.5 hours of computing time, but a 6 cell battery can also be included, extending the work time to up to 7 hours.

The LG-X120 includes a 1.3-megapixel webcam that allows for video chatting or conferencing, as well as the LG You-Cam software that allows users to take unique snapshots. Also included are SRS WOW HD and TruSurround XT to provide stereo listening. The screen’s LED Backlight has been designed to offer energy savings while delivering clearer and brighter pictures.

The company says that the LG-X120 will become available in Europe in March.
