CeBIT 2009: ASUS Showcases Its Eee Keyboard PC

The machine features a lot of capabilities although packed in a small form factor

ASUS, the worldwide leading provider of mobile PC solutions, came to the CeBIT show in Hanover, Germany with a suite of easy-to-use Eee solutions. The company's products are meant to cover High Definition entertainment, video calling and gaming areas, as well as file sharing and all-in-one computing with innovative Eee products, including Eee Box PC B206, Eee Stick, EeeNAS PC, Eee Videophone and Eee Top PC ET1602 all-in-one PC.

Besides them, the Taiwanese company also brought an Eee Keyboard PC. The new machine features a 5'', 800x600 touchpad, and runs under the Windows XP Home Edition. The computer is powered by Intel processor and chipset, namely Atom N270/N330 and 945GCSE + ICH7-M. ASUS' Eee Keyboard PC sports 1GB of DDR2 on-board memory, and offers options for an either 16GB or 32GB solid state drive solution.

Other specifications of the machine include WLAN 802.11n network connectivity, as well as Bluetooth 2.0 capabilities. At the same time, the company has packed it with a built-in high-quality stereo speaker and a microphone. The Eee Keyboard PC features VGA, HDMI and LAN RJ-45 I/O ports, as well as USB 2.0 ports, and headphone and mic-in. The machine weighs only 0.95Kg.

The Eee Box PC B206 comes with a unique design so that it could be mounted on any LCD TV and monitor, allowing users to enjoy High-Definition content via its HDMI output. The Eee Videophone comes with a 7” display and a built-in webcam, as well as speaker and microphone and Wi-Fi capabilities. The Eee Top PC ET1602 comes in a compact LCD monitor form factor and sports a wide range of capabilities, including Wi-Fi 802.11n connectivity, an integrated 1.3-megapixel web camera and a microphone, as well as the ASUS Tranquiller Technology, which provides cool and quiet operations.
