Two very interesting gadgets from some lesser-known manufacturers

CeBIT is one of the world's most impressive technology fairs, so it's actually no wonder that, beside the most important names in the industry, we've also come across a few smaller companies. And in order to keep all things leveled, we'll also be showing you some of the more "gadgetry" products we've come across in our long journey through the long halls of the Hanover fair.

One of the first devices of this type is the Telstar, CBT-600ST Bluetooth handsfree car-kit system, which offers users a variety of specific functions, all packed in a very innovative design: that of a rear-view mirror.

According to the Ms. Ellen Liu, the marketing manager for Telstar, the device is actually a fully-functional Bluetooth car kit, which can pair with up to 8 different mobile devices. Moreover, the car kit offers users the possibility of making voice dials, as well as a broad range of other functions most drivers will most likely find extremely useful.

Another interesting booth was that of the Supertooth company, which offers a very wide range of Bluetooth-related products, including here the very popular Supertooth voice model, which allows users to upload up to 4 different phonebooks into its memory and then speak out the name of the contact that's calling at any given moment.

Another attractive Bluetooth gadget from Supertooth is the Disco model, a Bluetooth audio system that allows users to stream audio directly to its 28-Watt speakers. This model has also been relatively recently introduced, but the company hopes that it will really manage to pose some serious threat to the many competitors in this field.

According to the manufacturer, the Supertooth Disco offers three to five hours of continuous playing time at full volume, but as the volume decreases to medium, the battery life will go up accordingly. One of the most important shortcomings lies in the power adapter, since it comes with a two-pin plug, mostly aimed at the European market, so UK-based customers will have to find a proper three-pronged converter.

The Supertooth Disco Bluetooth speaker looks quite classy, and can deliver crystal-clear sound, that does not get altered when using Bluetooth as the audio source.

Additionally, the manufacturer has also announced the launch of the Compact model, an absolute novelty for 2008, which offers users some of the main features of Voice, but at a lower price tag.
