Gaming gear manufacturer Razer has just unveiled its newest peripherals offering: the Razer Salmosa. The new mouse is the company's first-entry-level mouse and is being showcased at this year's CeBIT Expo
and Show.

The Salmosa is not just an entry-level gaming mouse, it is also one of the lightest devices in its class. It is especially designed to match the needs of entry-level gamers that require speed and precision. It offers light and agile interface with the game, but at the same time, keeps the price as low as possible. The mouse features a resolution of 1800dpi and is equipped with the Razer Precision 3G infrared sensor. The Salmosa can offer a response time of 1-millisecond with on-the-fly sensitivity adjustment.

"The Razer Salmosa sets a precedent as being the lightest mouse in its class; it is perfect for gamers that require pure speed and agility. Our goal was to create an affordable, introductory gaming-grade mouse. With the Razer Salmosa, we have created a mouse that is ideal for gamers who have yet to experience the difference a gaming-grade mouse from Razer can offer to their game," said Robert "Razerguy" Krakoff, president of Razer.

Salmosa comes with three independently programmable Hyperesponse buttons. Its rubbery scroll wheel has 24 individual click positions to give maximum precision while, say, changing the weapons. Its bottom part features four zero-acoustic Ultraslick Teflon feet to let the mouse glide at will on any possible material, including mouse-pads, wood and glass surfaces.

The mouse comes with more than two meters of lightweight, non-tangle cable that connects it to the computer. This way, the gamers will have all the freedom they need while playing. The mouse is 11.5 centimeter long, 6.3 centimeter wide, and 3.7 centimeter tall.

The mouse will be available soon, and will hit the market at an estimative retail price of $39.99. Softpedia is present at this year's CeBIT and we will come with additional details about the Salmosa gaming mouse.
