CeBIT 2008: Hands-On with the Stylish LG KF600

Along with Samsung, Sony Ericsson, Asus, General Mobile, Motorola or Nokia, LG was also present at the 2008 edition of CeBIT in Hanover, Germany (which, by the way, officially ended today, the 9th of March).

One of CeBIT's main attractions when it comes to LG phones was LG KF600, a handset first announced in January 2008. As LG Chocolate, one of the most successful handsets from the South Korean producer, LG KF600 has a slider form factor and comes with a unique touch-sensitive InteractPad with haptic feedback. The InteractPad is actually a secondary display (262K colors and 240 x 176 pixels) that will help you navigate through the phone's functions by changing itself according to your needs: menu controller, music player controller, game controller and so on. LG KF600's main display is a 2 inch TFT one with 256K colors and a 240 x 320 pixels resolution and, together with the InteractPad, it will offer users a unique mobile experience.

Besides the touch-sensitive pad, KF600 also brings a wide range of other cool features, including a 3.15 Megapixel camera with flash, auto focus and video recording, EDGE, Media player, Bluetooth 2.0, USB 2.0, exclusive graphic themes created by Keith Haring, WAP 2.0 Internet browser, email capabilities, Java MIDP 2.0, multi-tasking capabilities, document viewer, organizer and microSD card support.

Weighing 107 grams and measuring 101.2 x 50.7 x 14.1 millimeters (when closed), LG KF600 has a 800 mAh Li-Ion battery that can offer a talk-time of about 3 hours and a stand-by time of nearly 300 hours. The handset is available across Europe starting this month, at a retail price of around 320 Euro ($490). For the moment there are no details about its availability in North America.
