Samsung Adidas, also known as Samsung F110 or Adidas miCoach, was first seen in mid-2007. The phone is specially created by Samsung and Adidas for sporty people and now it was officially announced and also showcased at the
2008 edition of CeBIT in Hanover, Germany (4 – 9 March).
The sporty elegance of the Adidas brand was combined with Samsung’s way of designing handsets and here we have Samsung Adidas, which turned out to be a pretty cool-looking device. Besides the sporty aspect, the phone brings a range of useful features that turn it into a worthy Mobile Personal Trainer for all the
athletes out there. We have a sports dedicated user interface, textured finish for an excellent grip, Online Workout Analyst and Interactive Coaching Narration (to take the role of a real coach and stimulate you to aim for better performances). Optionally, users can also get an Adidas Heart Rate Monitor belt and an Adidas Stride Sensor.
The phone-only features of Samsung Adidas include tri-band GSM connectivity (850 / 900 / 1800 / 1900 MHz), EDGE, a 2.0 inch TFT display with 256K colors and a 176 x 220 pixels resolution, USB 2.0, Music player, (MP3, AAC, eACC, and WMA support), stereo FM radio, Windows Media DRM, MTP with Windows Media Player 10 compatibility, WAP 2.0/xHTML browser, email capabilities, organizer and handsfree. Unfortunately, the handset has no microSD card slot. Fortunately, it has a 1GB built-in memory – not an iPhonesque memory, but it’s still enough to store your favorite music and various other data.
Measuring 101.5 x 45 x 14.5 millimeters, Samsung Adidas also packs a 2 Megapixel camera with video recording and a standard Li-Ion 800 mAh battery.
The Adidas phone will be commercially available for an unknown (yet) price, starting the second half of March 2008. Until then, enjoy the live pics from CeBIT:
