CeBIT 2008: Hands-On with LG ViewtyThe more evolved Prada successor |

LG Viewty is definitely a handset made to amaze users. The successor of LG Prada (one of the most well-received mobile phones in 2007), Viewty brings a similar design but a much more advanced functionality.
Also known as LG KU990, Viewty is a bit bigger than Prada, but that
doesn't mean it can be considered bulky. The handset measures 103.5 x 54.4 x 14.8 millimeters, weighs 112 grams and packs about all the good features you'd expect a high-end phone to have.
The 3-inch, 240 x 400 pixels TFT touchscreen of Viewty comes with haptic feedback to ensure an easy navigation. Together with the phone's simple Flash User Interface, the wide touchscreen makes the entire mobile experience intuitive and captivating at the same time.
One of LG Viewty's highlight features is the 5 Megapixels photo camera with Schneider-Kreuznach lens that offers flash, auto focus and video recording - VGA at 30 fps and QVGA at 120 fps. With such a camera users will be able to take photos at a quality close to the ones made with stand-alone digital cameras. Furthermore, Viewty also features tri-band GSM connectivity, HSDPA (3.6 Mbps), GPRS, EDGE, a secondary camera for video calls, Music player (MP3, AAC, eAAC and WMA), Video player (3GP and MPEG4), FM radio with RDS, Bluetooth 2.0 with A2DP, USB 2.0, WAP 2.0, email capabilities (with support for attachments), document viewer, Java MIDP 2.0, 170MB of internal memory and microSD card support.
LG Viewty packs a standard Li-Ion 1000 mAh battery capable of providing up to 4 hours of talk-time and about 430 hours of stand-by time. The handset is available in both black and silver and can be bought for a retail price of at least $500, depending on the country you buy it from.
