Unofficially announced about a week ago, Asus Lamborghini ZX1 is now showcased by the Taiwan-based producer at CeBIT 2008 in Hanover, Germany (4 ? 9 March 2008). Since a Softpedia team is there to bring the hottest news and images, we now give you fresh details and live pics with the splendid ZX1.

The new handset is the outstanding result of a collaboration between Asus and Lamborghini, the famous sports car manufacturer. The companies are not at their first cooperation, as they have also worked together to make an Asus Lamborghini notebook.

In terms of network connectivity, the Lamborghini handset offers support for tri-band WCDMA (850 / 1900 / 2100 MHz) and quad-band EDGE/GPRS/GSM (850 / 900 / 1800 / 1900 MHz) networks. Moreover, there is also HSDPA to provide users with data transfer speeds of up to 3.6 Mbps.

Asus Lamborghini ZX1 runs on Microsft's latest Windows Mobile 6.1 OS and, as you can see in the live pictures, its user interface looks really nice. Measuring 115.6 x 59.4 x 13.2 mm and weighing 119 grams (battery included), the handset packs a TI 2431 450 MHz CPU + EMP U360, a 2.8 inch TFT touchscreen with 65k colors and a 240 x 320 pixels resolution, a 3MP CMOS camera with auto focus (plus a secondary VGA camera for video calls), built-in GPS, Wi-Fi (802.11b+g), Bluetooth 2.0 with EDR, USB 2.0, 256MB Flash memory, 128MB SDRAM and microSD card support.

ZX1's battery is a 1150 mAh Li-Ion one that should provide users with a talk-time between 3 and 5 hours and a stand-by time of up to 200 hours. There's no word yet about the phone's price, but it will surely be high, probably somewhere around 1,500 USD.

Until May 2008, when Asus Lamborghini ZX1 is planned to hit the market, check out our live pics from CeBIT.
