Catwoman is a video game developed by Electronic Arts UK and published by Electronic Arts. It
was created for the PlayStation 2 console from Sony, for the Xbox from Microsoft, the PC and the Game Cube. The game is classed as an action title which is played from a third person perspective, based on the comic book license deal.
This is mainly another licensed title by Electronic Arts, and it is based on the movie with the same name, which stars Halle Berry. It was one of the worst comic book to movie adaptations and gained Halle a worst actress award. The game strictly follows the film's plot and all its models; the graphics are created too closely to resemble the characters and the locations that were present in the movie. Halle Berry also lends her voice to the main character of the game.
There are multiple powers that the main character gets access to. As in the comics, Catwoman does not kill anybody. The biggest challenge can at times be overcoming the obstacles in the environment, while fighting enemies is done mainly by using the whip.
Unfortunately, the game was one of the worst that the company has ever put out and recently Electronic Arts CEO John Riccitiello singled it out as a perfect example of how his company should not approach game development. Reviewers did not appreciate the release when it came out and it sold poorly.
GAMEPLAY HINTS
Easy battles
When battling Laurel Hedare, Tom Lone, or the man in black who tries to kill her, always attack them from the back. You will be able to hit them about three times before they attack again. Otherwise, you will just roll away and get hurt.
Cat Sense
Hold L2 to access Hunting mode. To go to Cat Sense, concentrate on a glowing icon to make it darker, and it will automatically change into Cat Sense. Stop however, and it will turn back to Hunting mode.
Kitty dance
Allow the game to idle and Catwoman will do a dance.
