The 36-year-old British actress spends £24 per bottle of air from her native Wales - and has it flown to her Los Angeles home.
After she found out that a businessman was bottling the atmosphere in the Welsh Valleys, Catherine Zeta-Jones, who has made no secret of her love for her home country, has become a regular customer.
The actress then dishes it out to friends visiting her and husband Michael Douglas, according to a Britain's The Sun newspaper, and insists that her children Dylan, 4, and one-year-old Carys call her native land home.
"She wants her kids to be privy to the upbringing that made her who she is - she loves Los Angeles but it's all so shallow", a source said.
Meanwhile, Catherine is filming for Coming Out and Smoke & Mirrors, and has singed on to star in Stompanato and Rachel's Holiday (2006).
The Welsh actress will next be seen in The Legend of Zorro (2005).
