This past Thursday, a cat whose paws and face had been duct taped was found in the parking lot of the Baldwin Park Animal Care Center, a shelter in Los Angeles County.
The people who found the cat and rescued it say that the duct tape wrapped around the feline's face made it almost impossible for it to breathe.
Because of this, the cat was both scared and stressed. Now that it has been freed, the feline appears to be well on the road to recovery.
Huffington Post informs us that local authorities are out looking for the person responsible for this act of animal cruelty. Once found, this person risks being sent to prison.
The cat was named Amigo by the staff at the Baldwin Park Animal Care Center. Once rehabilitated, it is to be put up for adoption.
Those wishing to adopt Amigo need only email [email protected] and express their desire to do so.
