If it's true what they say that cats have nine lives, Bart, a feline currently living in the city of Tampa in Florida, US, together with its owners must have surely gone through nearly all of them when it rose from the dead earlier this month.

That's right, it looks like this zombie cat, featured in the photo below, somehow managed to crawl its way out of its own grave and then return home for dinner as many as five days after its owners had buried it alive.

Mind you, the reason why Ellis Huston and his spouse buried Bart was because the couple was convinced that, having been hit by a car, the cat was very much dead. In fact, it was vets who told them that this was the case.

As it turns out, the trauma of the crash did not kill the feline. On the contrary, even having a broken jaw and a ruined eye, Bart dug itself out of the ground and, not long after, found its way back home, much to the surprise of its owners.

According to DM, the cat's injuries are now looked after by veterinarians with the local Tampa Bay Humane Society. The feline risks losing its left eye forever, but at least it can take pride in having cheated the Grim Reaper not once, but twice.
