Konami Digital Entertainment has announced its plans to bring Castlevania: Lords of Shadow – Mirror of Fate HD to PC, to be launched on Steam later this month.

Castlevania: Lords of Shadow – Mirror of Fate HD is set 25 years after the events of the original Castlevania: Lords of Shadow, acting as a prologue to Castlevania: Lords of Shadow 2, the conclusion of the epic saga.

As the middle title in the trilogy, Castlevania: Lords of Shadow – Mirror of Fate HD follows some of Gabriel Belmont's descendants, telling the story of the legendary Belmont clan in completely revamped high definition visuals.

Players will be able to see Simon and Trevor Belmont battling their own destiny in order to ultimately discover their shocking fate.

Seeking to avenge his mother's death at the hands of his father, who has returned from his years of exile to take up residence in a mysterious castle, Trevor Belmont, a knight of the Brotherhood of Light, will have to prepare for a perilous and dramatic father versus son confrontation.

Gabriel Belmont, once a powerful figure in the clan, now stands as Dracula, the powerful vampire who instills fear in the hearts of even the bravest. He has declared war on the Brotherhood of Light, therefore setting the scene for the showdown with his son.

Players will be able to take control of multiple characters, each of them with its own unique arsenal of abilities, acquired by playing in different in-game eras. The game's main features are the deeply strategic combat system, with a huge array of combos allowing players to utilize their character's weapons and magical abilities to destroy their opponents.

Gamers are going to venture through huge and detailed levels, enjoying the re-envisioned graphics and taking down enormous bosses in challenging and skill-testing battles, all brought to life with the enhanced high-definition presentation.

Castlevania: Lords of Shadow 2 has just come out on the PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 and Windows PC platforms in late February, and all gamers are now able to enjoy the thrilling conclusion to the Lords of Shadow saga. Playing as Dracula for the first time in the series, users can guide the weakened vampire and assist him in regaining his lost strength, in order to once again face his nemesis, Satan himself.

Castlevania: Lords of Shadow – Mirror of Fate HD will be made available on Steam, sometime later this month, and it will also include online leaderboards, Steam achievements as well as the popular Boss Rush Mode.
