Dave Cox, a producer at Konami working on Castlevania: Lords of Shadow 2 says that his team simply lacks the necessary number of developers to bring the game over to the new Wii U home console from Nintendo.

He tells Eurogamer that, “If we want to do a Wii U conversion, that’s another 20 people. We just don’t have the resources or the budget to do it. It’s not to say we wouldn’t do it, it’s to say at this point we don’t want to lose focus on what we’re doing.”

Cox also says that Castlevania: Lords of Shadow 2 is past the point in the development process when it’s easy to introduce another platform to the core set.

Castlevania: Lords of Shadow 2 will star Gabriel Belmont as Dracula, facing a threat greater than him while also battling his old family.
