Castlevania: Curse of Darkness,
known in Japan as Akumajô Dracula: Yami no Juin is a console video game developed by Konami for the Xbox and PlayStation 2. It was produced by Koji Igarashi (also known as IGA), who has worked on several other games in the Castlevania series, including Castlevania: Symphony of the Night, Castlevania: Aria of Sorrow and Castlevania: Lament of Innocence. Also returning are series artist Ayami Kojima and composer Michiru Yamane. A 3D game like Lament of Innocence before it, Curse of Darkness differs from its predecessor in a number of ways, including a more complex, action/adventure style of gameplay, much like Symphony of the Night and Aria of Sorrow. Hector is not a member of the Belmont clan, so he does not use the "Vampire Killer" whip; instead he has the ability (much like Alucard and Soma Cruz) to equip a variety of different weapons ranging from swords, spears, guns, bombs and brass knuckles.

Unlockables

Boss Rush Mode.
Enter a warp room after beating the game. You also have to defeat the "secret" boss as well. Once this is done, you can go to any warp room and enter the boss rush mode by sitting in the chair.

Crazy Mode
After beating the game once, if you start a new game and put @CRAZY as your name, you will start the game at a higher difficulty setting.

Moai Statue.
When you start the game in the Abandoned Castle stage, go around to the outside of the castle to find the Moai Statue. The statue will be there if you have a Lament of Innocence save file on your Memory Card. The statue is worth a lot of money at the shop, or it can be used to replenish your health.

Moebius Brooch
Once you beat Crazy Mode, the Moebius Brooch will be available in the shop. Equipping this item allows you to do special moves without using hearts.

Sound Mode
After beating Boss Rush Mode, the music box should appear in the warp room. With this item, you should be able to access the Sound Mode Option to play various music from the game.

Trevor Mode
After beating the game once, if you start a new game and put @TREVOR as your name, you'll start the game as Trevor Belmont.

Easter Eggs

Chair Quest and The Complete Chair
As you may have noticed, throughout the game there are various chairs you must sit in. If you happen to sit in all of them, the room inside Cordova Town (pretty colorful with blue cloudy skies and with weird rabbit/bug creatures flying around with a target sign on their gut) will create a special chair in the center; though it really doesn't do anything for you, it's a nice little extra quest that you can do.

Plus, if you're a completionist, this is part of your route to 100% (maybe not gamewise, but according to your standards!)

Secrets

Legion and Nuculais ~ The Optional Bosses
In order to reach these bosses, you first must obtain the 5th Innocent Devil, the Devil Type. With this, head back to Garibaldi Temple and slide under the crack in the wall back near the area with the four courtyards and Fencers. Proceed through the hallways, avoiding the Blood Bones and eventually you'll be in a hallway that is living. Save before you enter the boss area...and make sure you're at least at level 50.

The Tower of Evermore
To get to the Tower of Evermore, you'll need a bird type Innocent Devil with the long glide ability. From the top of the Tower of Eternity, face the moon in the background so that it is directly in front of you and jump off the ledge, gliding all the way to the Tower of Evermore.

The monsters here are much harder than the ones found in the Tower of Eternity.

The battles against Dracula have always been the highlight of the Castlevania series. Here's the fight against "The Count" in this title:
