Michael Bay has found his perfect Turtles. After casting Megan Fox as April O’Neil in the reboot, the producer has also found 4 actors to play the Ninja Turtles, Deadline has learned.

They’re all relative newcomers, but they’ll probably not be so for long once the movie comes out.

“The Hunger Games: Catching Fire newcomer Alan Ritchson [will] play Raphael in the reboot of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. […] I’m told that Pete Ploszek will play Leonardo, Jeremy Howard will play Donatello and Noel Fisher will play Michaelangelo in the Jonathan Liebesman-directed film,” Deadline writes.

According to the same industry outlet, it’s important to remember the actor playing each Turtle because the film will have a “sophisticated Avatar-like approach.”

Deadline also says that Paramount views this project as a franchise, which means that the first film coming out in 2014 will be just one in a hopefully long series.

As for the story, this is one that’s gotten many fans terribly upset.

“Aliens invade Earth and inadvertently spawn a quartet of mutated reptile warriors, the Ninja Turtles, who rise up against them to defend the world,” a synopsis of the film reads.

What is up with Michael Bay and aliens? And why does he have to mix the Turtles with the aliens?
