As Jennifer Lopez is getting ready to face the music (i.e. critics) and hopefully kick start a serious career in film, she and her current beau Casper Smart were present on the red carpet, at the premiere of the star-studded romantic comedy “What to Expect When You're Expecting.” E! News caught up with the backup dancer and actually got him to dish out a few things about the new lady in his life, Jennifer.
As expected, Casper seems very much in love with the diva, saying only good things about her, the celebrity e-zine reports.
“She's a beautiful woman. She's a good person like anyone else… we're all just people,” Smart gushed.
He also took the time to shoot down rumors making the rounds online about the state of their relationship, denying they're engaged or planning to marry anytime soon.
They're just “enjoying [their] life right now,” he said.
As for how they started dating, Casper revealed that he and Jennifer had been working together for a very long time before they even considered becoming romantically involved.
“It was really professional for a very long time before anything even happened. It just really spontaneously happened. The chemistry was there. You can't fight it,” he explained.
However, even though the chemistry is all there and they are quite smitten with each other, Casper won't allow himself to be dragged into a conversation about babies right now.
“I see what you're doing… I'm not playing,” he said laughing when the interviewer asked him whether the film Lopez was starring in (about a group of women who become pregnant) was giving him any ideas.
“I for sure want kids in the future. In the future… yes, when I'm ready and when the time is right,” he added.
Oddly enough, just a few days ago, word got out that Jennifer was
“pressing” Casper for a baby, telling him that she had no time to lose on this – but he didn't want this kind of commitment because he felt he was too young to be tied down by a family.
