The new update only fixes the date setting problem

Today, Casio has released the 1.01 firmware version developed for its EX-FR10 camera included in the Life Style line-up, which fixes a single issue that isn’t actually important but can turn up to be very annoying, namely the date setting problem.

Therefore, in order to get rid of this issue, first remove any memory card from the camera, turn on both the EX-FR10 and the controller, go to Home > Menu > Setup > Version using the controller, and make sure the currently installed firmware is 1.00.

An important aspect that you should take into account is that only the camera can be upgraded to version 1.01, as the controller’s software build will remain 1.00.

If all is ok, save and extract the downloadable archive, and copy the camm1371.bin and camd1371.bin files from within the newly created folder onto a formatted memory card. Afterwards, disconnect the removable drive and insert it into the camera while it’s powered off.

Now press and hold the power button until the appropriate LED turns red in order to initiate the upgrade. During the installation, the LED will slowly change to orange, and then turn off upon completion.

At this point, simply remove the memory card, power the device back on, and check the currently installed version once more to ensure the update has been successful.

That being said, download Casio EX-FR10 Camera Firmware 1.01, apply it on your device, and constantly check our website in order to stay “updated one minute ago.”
