Eerie clip shows infamous Anthony talks of loneliness, her adopted dog

The first entry from Casey Anthony's video diary has emerged online. Taped in October last year, it just got out now and you can see it below in its entirety, embedded at the end of the article.

Anthony walked out jail in July 2011, after being acquitted of the murder of her 2-year-old daughter Caylee, in a trial that got people from all over the world outraged, upset and sad.

Since release, she's been flying under the radar, hiding from the world – which makes sense given that most people still believe her guilty of the murder and there have been serious threats to her safety.

This makes the release of the video now even more odd.

In the clip, Casey says it's October 13, 2011 and mentions she's been living in isolation for a while – and will continue to do so for another 6 months, if not even more.

She's sporting short blonde hair and large glasses, which would probably make her unrecognizable in the street.

She talks about buying her own computer and being able to pay her phone bill, boasting that this is actually the first time in years she can call something her own.

“I'm extremely excited... that I'll be able to Skype and obviously keep a video log... and that I have something that I can finally call mine,” she says.

“It’s been a long time since I’ve been able to call something mine,” she adds

It seems as though she's having issues with finding her words – or that she set out to record the video diary without a clear idea of what she was going to talk about.

Either way, there's absolutely no denying she's trying to appeal to the people who still believe her guilty by painting her life in dire colors, word online has it.

“I'll be here for many many months... even if i get off probation early,” she says.

She goes on to say she's happy she has a camera-equipped computer because, from now on, she will never be alone.

Anthony also reveals she's adopted a dog.

“Now I... in some ways... have someone to talk to even when I am by myself so I am not bothering the poor dog... who I have adopted and I love,” she says, before promising another diary entry soon.

Check out the video below and let us know in comments section the impression it makes on you. Does it seem to you like Anthony is playing the victim (of sorts) to get back into the good graces of the public?
