While networks continue to deny that they’re even thinking of offering money to Casey Anthony for her first post-trial, post-jail interview, more reports about the figures being circulated are emerging online.

Admittedly, Anthony was offered $1.5 million to open up in front of the camera about the trial that saw her accused of the murder of her 2-year-old daughter and, just recently, acquitted of it.

As unbelievable as it may sound, she’s not the only one courted right now for an exclusive, TMZ reports: her parents, who have not been in contact with her for a long time, are also being offered money from networks.

As the e-zine puts it, the amounts circulated have become ridiculously high.

“The network bidding war over key interviews in the Casey Anthony case has gone into the stratosphere... because TMZ has learned a syndicated talk show was laughed at with a bid of $250,000 for Casey’s PARENTS!!!” the aforementioned media outlet writes.

Her parents stand good chances of making over a quarter of a million if they agree to go on the record – but their estranged daughter, who has been in hiding ever since walking out of jail, could make many more times that amount.

“The bidding has gone crazy. We’re hearing the bidding for a Casey interview was over $1.5 million,” TMZ says.

With the e-zine being the one to break the news that Anthony’s attorney and another celebrity lawyer were in New York meeting with network representatives and negotiating the conditions for an interview with the “most hated woman in America.”

The other day, NBC issued a statement saying they would never offer her money, because that’s not how they did business.

ABC News too is denying offering to pay for the interview, saying their reputation should be enough to land the Anthony exclusive.

“We can book just about anyone based on the strength of our journalism,” a statement to TMZ reads. This is technically correct – but false under the current circumstances, the celebrity gossip website argues.

“Our sources say all three networks [NBC, ABC and CBS] were offering the same deal – they would pay a fortune to license photos and video from Casey. Short story – it’s a dishonest way of saying they don’t pay for interviews,” TMZ underlines.
