Networks are interested again in “America’s most hated mom”

In 2008, Casey Anthony’s 3-year-old daughter Caylee was reported missing, with remains of her body found many months later. She went on trial for murder and a wide array of other charges, among which that of lying to the cops in the investigation.

In 2011, Anthony was acquitted and went off the radar. She’d already been named the most hated woman and mother in America, and she probably had a pretty good idea that people thought she’d gotten away with murder on a technicality.

Anthony emerged again this weekend, TMZ reports. She was spotted landing in New York City, where she’s supposed to start meeting with industry people to give her first interview since the controversial trial and her even more controversial acquittal.

You can see a video of it below. The woman approached by the paparazzo claims she’s not Anthony, but TMZ says the tell-tale sign is in the “white-haired gent,” who is the same guy who accompanied Anthony to all her discussions with the press in 2011.

Back then, she’d decided to do an interview and had narrowed down talks with a couple major networks, but all plans fell apart when TV bosses chickened out. Things were too heated at the time for them to want to risk coming across as helping such a vilified woman, by giving her a platform to get her story out.

The same media outlet says that Anthony is most definitely doing an interview soon.
